Dicor Self-Leveling Lap Sealant creates a secure, secondary seal over and along the roof edges, vents, hatches, solar panel brackets and screw heads. Suitable EPDM, TPO and PVC membranes, it adheres to aluminum, mortar, wood, vinyl, galvanized metal, fiberglass and concrete.

This sealant makes a very nice self levelled finish on roofs - not suitable for walls

Lap sealant is UV stabilized to prevent deterioration and discoloration. It will not stain or discolour the roofing material to which it is applied.

This sealant makes it possible to create a continuous seal yet remain flexible.

We use our regular silicone to fit and adhere the part we are affixing, then use this self leveling product to finish and complete the seal. This product is a sealant not an adhesive.

May be painted over after outer skin has formed.

Prior to application, clean the surface of all foreign materials. Allow surface to dry. Use standard caulking equipment to apply Self-leveling Sealant. In cold weather, warm container at room temperature 16°C – 27°C. DO NOT USE on vertical surfaces. DO NOT USE as splicing cement. Directions for Use:

Clean surface of all dirt, loose paint, rust, oil and grease.

Allow surface to dry before applying sealant.

Use standard caulking gun or pumping system to apply sealant.

In cold weather, warm container at room temperature before use.

Installs in about 10 minutes. High impact plastic with UV inhibitors lets light into the interior of the Campervan or Motorhome. Zero leak mounting system eliminates the need for drilling any holes in your RV roof. Includes mounting hardware. All hardware provided with Zero-Leak Mounting System is made of stainless steel or aluminium for durability and long life. Fitting Instructions:

Place the Vent Cover over the roof vent with the louvre area facing the rear of the vehicle. After verifying that the Vent Cover is centred over the roof vent, trace on your roof (with a pencil) the location of the slots in the Vent Cover's mounting flange.

Position a mounting bracket on your roof so that the slot in the bracket intersects one of the slot locations traced on the roof. For maximum strength place the mounting brackets as close as possible to the outside corner of your existing roof vent frame.

Mark the location of the screw hole in the bracket onto your roof vent frame. Drill through the roof vent frame using a 3/16 Inch dia. drill bit. Place one of the carriage bolts upward through the slot in the bracket and fasten the bracket to the roof vent wall using the small bolt provided. The small washer, lock washer, and hex nut should be placed on the inside of the roof vent frame wall. Install two brackets on each side of your roof vent as shown in the drawing.

Place the Vent Cover on the four upward pointing carriage bolts and fasten using the large washers and hex nuts provided. You may have to push the head of the carriage bolt up into the bracket slot to prevent the carriage bolt from turning during tightening of the hex nuts.

A slight air gap between the base of the Vent Cover and the RV roof after installation is normal and permits condensation to escape.

For use on:
EPDM rubber & PVC roofing: Dicor’s Part 1 Cleaner/Activator Primer (RP-CRP-Q) is required prior to coating.
Preparation:
Thoroughly mix the contents for a minimum of 5 minutes prior to application. Use plastic sheeting to protect sidewalls and end caps of units. Be sure plastic runs to the ground/floor. EPDM and PVC roof surface must be cleaned/primed with Dicor’s Part 1 Cleaner/Activator (RP-CRP-Q) and free of residue or loose particles. Surface shall be completely dry and frost free before coating. Deteriorated or damaged substrates shall be repaired or replaced.
Weather Precautions:
Dicor Acrylic Coating requires complete evaporation of water to cure. Cool temperatures and high humidity may slow down the curing process. Do not apply if weather conditions will not permit complete cure before rain, dew or freezing temperatures occur. Dicor Acrylic Coating will freeze and become unstable at temperatures below 32° F within a 48 hour period after application.
Application:
Be sure the Part 1 Cleaner/Activator Priming process is complete prior to applying acrylic coating. Coating may be applied by medium nap roller or brush. Dicor Acrylic Coating shall be applied in a minimum of 2 coats at a rate of 1 gallon/125 sq. ft. per coat (i.e. 8’ X 30’ roof takes 4 gallons). Actual gallons required will depend on the type of surface, texture, method of application and weather conditions at the time of application. All surfaces must be uniformly coated and free from voids, pinholes, or blisters. Entire coating process MUST be completed in one day, including Part 1 Cleaner/Activator and two coats of Acrylic Coating, each dry to the touch before proceeding. Caution: Keep out of reach of children.

Spray directly on to clean surface, out of direct sunlght in 3′ X 3′ sections. One quart treats up to a 40′ RV.

To provide for even coverage, wipe with soft cloth or sponge mop.

For MAXIMUM UV PROTECTION reapply every 3-5 weeks or after every cleaning.
